On a recent article, The Telegraph was questioning if Beaverbrook was Britain’s coolest new country house hotel. Well, judging by the recent images that have been released, I think that’s more than a fair question to ask.
Located in Surrey, this impressive property was the former home of press baron, Lord Beaverbrook. The transformation into a luxurious country hotel has been made in different phases: the first one was the Garden House, which opened its doors last autumn. The recently opened House was the second phase and later this year, the Couch House Spa and the Glass House will complete this ambitious project.
Renowned interior designer Susie Atkinsonwas in charge of the Main House interiors. She did an excellent job creating a glamorous retreat without forgetting the cozy country feel.
Winemaker Noemi Marone Cinzano enlisted John Stefanidis to design inside and out her home in Portugal. Using playful patterns, bold colors, traditional elements and artsy details, Stefanidis masterfully takes the Mediterranean style to the next level.
This is the third post that I’m dedicating to the late Jaime Parladé, and probably won’t be the last one. Parladé’s interiors have stood the test of time and his style is as current today as it was 20 years ago. Sometimes I feel he didn’t enjoy the recognition he deserved so I’m revisiting his projects, yet again, to keep his incredible legacy alive.
