It’s been a while since I posted on my Gloria’s favourite series. Here’s a round-up of some of the things I’ve been loving recently.
Clotilde Dell’Aria Instagram – Clotilde is the owner of Maison Clotilde and she also sells antique and artisanal pieces on her Instagram – I adore how she styles the product and the pop of the strong textiles over her feed. I’m a fan!
This powder room by @heidicaillierdesign stopped me in my tracks. The mural was inspired by an antique Swedish casegood Heidi found years ago and executed by @james_mobley_design Photography by @haris.kenjar
The new colourway of the ‘Gloria’ cushion from Wicklewood. Spring on a pillow.
Firmdale’s newest opening – Warren Street Hotel in New York.
I adored discovering on YouTube this short documentary about Robert Pammen, an old-school painter from London who restores telephone boxes voluntarily in his spare time. Matthieu Livingston beautifully captured Robert’s work. Someone on the video commented, ‘We need more people who appreciate working with their hands and living a simple life. People who do things with love in a society that pushes for fast and cheap’ and I couldn’t agree more.
Mark Herald’s work Yorkshireman Mark Hearld studied at the Glasgow School of Art and later gained an MA from the Royal College of Art specialising in Natural History Illustration. His intense interest in flora and fauna is the driving force behind his large body of work in many different media, including collage, textiles and ceramics, as well as print and paint. His style is influenced by the work of Picasso and also many artists from the 1930s, 1940s and 1950s including Eric Ravilious, Edward Bawden and John Piper. Mark is also influenced by the neo-Romantic artists of the 1940s including Keith Vaughn.
